Pros: Great customer support, Great broadband service, Excellent customer service skills.

Cons: None.

Comments: I have dealt with a wide number of broadband companies, and never have I had such a good experience than that of iiNet. I'm a bit of a technical guy (i love I.T.) and I can tell when people know their stuff. iiNet has consistently gone above and beyond what they promised. Setup was simple, they explained everything in detail but knew how to explain it.

The broadband link was activated alot quicker than they said it would've been. Since then me and my other 2 housemates have been loving it!

A couple of months into the contract they upgraded our plan (and added an extra 20gb) for free, as a complementary gift.

Thankyou iiNet, so glad I didnt end up going with the other companies!!

Pros: none

Cons: expensive, ripp you off, send wrong router, bad connection, bad contact, no support, never calls back.

Comments: Hi,
the first router I received after a long wait for the connection was broken. I got the wrong replacement after another wait of 3 weeks. So I had to wait again for the second shipping. After nearly 2 Month I was online. Since then I am calling them about once per wekk because something is not working, or they try to (over and over again) book money for the wrongly send router from my account. Every time I have to give them the prove that the router has been send. Over and over again.
Do not go to them! Save your tme and nerves, there are many better options....

Pros: the package is great - when it works

Cons: 30-40 mts wait when you call the support line. No customer friendly system to resolve urgent issues like my phone not working for over 5 days - not yet resolved. IINET does not seem to realise how important it is to have at least phones working in a family.

Comments: I signed up in Feb 08 and within about 6 weeks my telephone and internet has been down for over 5 days now. IINET could not tell me when it will be back. There is no "customer service charter/guarantee". You are put on hold for over 30-40 minutes each time you call them on 132258(try it). Still waiting for my phone/net to be fixed. I am locked into a 24 month contract. If I could get out of the contract without penalties, I would think quit seriously about it, considering the poor service and almost zero updates. Very poor for a communications company. I have managed to speak to the support line three times and sent three emails. I am still waiting for a "Responsiblie customer relations Manager" to call me. AM NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.

Pros: Fast, reliable

Cons: more expensive than competitors

Comments: I went with iinet as my friends recommended it for its speed and reliability. I believe that there are cheaper deals out there though.

All in all I am very happy though. I am prepared to pay a little bit extra for a quality product.

Pros: Good customer service and an overall reliable connection

Cons: None so far

Comments: I have been with iinet for over a year now and I have so far had a very positive experience. In general the connection is very reliable and I have experienced minimal downtime.

I would recomment iinet for home broadband.

Pros: It works

Cons: Long activation wait, dynamic IP, poor support.

Comments: Overall, pretty happy (now!).
One big gripe was the length of time to activate my account (4 weeks+) when they said most connections are up within 2 weeks AT THE MOST!!!
Very poor feedback as to why they were taking so long, some emails I sent them were never answered, or if they were it was often a week later. If you just want to find an ISP with good support and you don't want to do some of the dirty work yourself (I like learnig about ADSL, but its not everyone's cup of tea) I would strongly suggest not going for this ISP.
Otherwise, it has been working OK and advertised speeds have been achieved.

Cons: Dynamic IP.

Comments: All in all I am very happy with iinet. I have called them a few times and they have been very helpful. The connection is reliable and very fast.

Cons: higher cost than some competitors

Comments: iiNet have always provided innovative incentives to reel in their customers. They offer great support. Sometimes their prices are somewhat higher than their competitors. Overall they are good value for money, recommend them highly.
