Spintel needs to take responsibility for its technical issues rather than give its customers the stuff around. I come from a technical background and can tell you that spintel is very poor on knowledge of networking. Even after explaining to them that there exchange is overloaded during peak hours they refuse to acknowledge that they have a problem rather its just one big freaking coincidence that my internet becomes next to unusuable during the hours of 6pm - 12am that said they want me to do ridiculous speed tests 3 times per day accross all the local servers including internode, optus, telstra & Vodafone using checking download speeds from those local servers and those only? Because you know (Insert Sarcasm here) everyone downloads their stuff from local servers and no one visits websites outside Australia. Running a ping test and speed test on international servers (which is a real measure of download speed) measure no more than 0.80mbps download speed and 282ms latency on ping during peak hours. Unfortunately not admitting guilt is prompting me to contact the ombudsman if spintel does not play ball & gracefully accept fault and allow me to exit my contract.
