Pros: Cheap, very fast connection time, decent speed
Cons: Overseas call centre, dislikes month to month option

After being with Telstra on their 500GB adsl plan for 3 years, we had to move houses to somewhere a phone was already active so we had to go with an unbundled service, which only a few company's offer. After reading many reviews I was hesitant to try Dodo, but decided for the $30 a month it was worth a leap of faith. I emailed them to get someone to call me, which I then received a call in 10 minutes, I asked a few questions and they were fairly pushy to get me to sign up to a 2 year contract, but I insisted on the month to month. It was a $99 setup fee for the month to month which is debited imeditatly from my account. I got a SMS the next day saying when my connection would be activated (was 5 days from the SMS) much to my disbelief, it was activated within 3 days (2 days earlier!) I was honestly shocked as even Telstra took 3 weeks to activate it. After setting it up and testing the speed I was also surprised. I am getting 1.3-1.5MB (not mbit) while being 4km away from the exchange (cable length) at my previous house I was getting 1M/B while being 400m from the exchange. There are the occasional drop outs for 1-2minutes but for the price, it's not bad. There is also no slowdown during peak times at all. Netflix streams in HD with no buffering so I am very happy. And remember, people will always post their negative reviews, but not many people take the time to post positive ones.
