Dodo is a internet service provider that could easily be number one, if they but their mind to it.

Let's start of with the registration process. Managed to contact them via chat or phone around 10 times before service began. Modem was delayed by one day. Service began 3 weeks after final registration. Customer service managed to keep me on the phone for an hour or more each time I called. Customer service representatives are apologetic, but have little to no knowledge. Dodo needs to make sure their reps. are trained with both the knowledge and affection just like a real customer rep. There was also a mis-translation in what was offered as a bonus. We thought we would get a FULL one months free, but in fact it was only for the internet and that there would be no set up fee. Dodo need to make sure that their customer reps. can speak clearly and that the person on the other end understands fully. I was not directed anywhere but when put on hold, often took longer than necessary to reconnect. Overall customer service at Dodo is below average and needs a lot of tweaking in the years to come.

Lets head over to the internet service. The internet service you pay for is quite average for your moneys worth. $59.90 for Unlimited ADSL2+ and Home Phone Line Rental on a 24 month contract with $259 set up fee. Lets be honest, $259 is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a set up fee. They should call it the rip off fee. But after you pay for the modem ($69) and the set up fee, the price is quite reasonable compared to other telcos. Service has only dropped once in the 6 months with them and the speed is very average. Dodo does not do outstanding things for very strange reasons. I did not need to call Tech Support during service or installation. Modem only took 5 minutes to self install but modem variety was limited to 2 modems, I should of just went out to JB HI FI or Harvey Norman and bought a modem myself, saving about $40 bucks as it was an out-dated modem. When Telstra technician came over to fix home line and activate it, technician was very kind and friendly. That was the only thing I liked about the service even though the technician was from Telstra. Overall, you do get your moneys worth so not much to complain about.

Last but not least is the billing process. I was mis-charged twice. Once $2.90 over and the other one I was charged $119.60 which is double. I did have to email Dodo for a fix, and took about 2 days per email to respond. Did not appreciate the mis-charge. Every time I am about to be billed, I receive an email notification and is directly debited from my account. For some reason during registration, for my dodo email, the Spam and Anti Virus add-on was activated and I had to go to dodo TWICE to get it fixed. Customer Service was stupid. After that no mis-charges were created,

Overall dodo could be a whole lot better. Customer Service is like calling to a third world country and internet service is almost below average. My hypothesis is that all they want is money. The only thing I like about dodo is their mascot. No awards coming their way anytime soon, and if it suddenly died just like their mascot, no one would give a dam.
