Comments: I hate Dodo they took over $900 from my account over Christmas, said it was for excess data, I hardly use my phone, as I have a PC. But i was in Vic for Christmas with my Dad, I found out that I only had 1.5 Gb over 7 yrs. They didn't tell me what I had I had to pry it out of them, I am contacting the ACCC the Fair Trading dept, and the Ombudsman. Please do not use Dodo, they ruined my Christmas.

Pros: None so far

Cons: Installation takes forever

Comments: Wanted to go with Vodafone as we already have their mobile plans but due to us moving from the UK recently, we didn't pass their credit checks (need 4 months of history). Purchased my TPG NBN plan online on 30th Nov. First appointment date for NBN installation is 18th Dec. No one arrives despite someone being home waiting all day just for the technician, living room faces the street with floor to ceiling glass windows so we couldn't have missed it. NBN's records say that no one was at home. The next appointment now isn't until 9th Jan. I've been desperately waiting for internet to run my home office and now need to wait another 3 weeks. Sorely disappointment, customer service was no help. I'm now chewing through my phone's internet as I need to hotspot my phone to work. Won't offer any compensation either, not even discounting the installation fee even though they have failed to provide the service on the promised date.

Pros: Ocasionally a nice person on the phone

Cons: Dropouts, poor service, difficult to cancel,

Comments: After 7 weeks of attempting to get the Fixed Wireless NBN working so that it didn't constantly drop out I switched to an Australian based reputable company and have had no problems with the internet whatsoever.

Dodo only appeared to "attempt" to look at my issue when I rang every couple of days. 2 modems and 3 NBN Boxes and no difference. They blamed NBN when clearly it was their problem as the same aerial and NBN box is working perfectly with the new company.

Some of the service people were rude, some were lovely and really tried, but they can't do anything when their company doesn't have enough bandwidth or whatever the actual problem was. Often difficult to understand the accents over those horrible overseas VOIP phone lines.

Very difficult to cancel the service, they keep charging you and when you ring, you are bounced from one person to another whilst waiting for ages on hold.

Also constant phone spam from them was quite annoying.

Pros: Sometimes the Internet works

Cons: EVERYTHING

Comments: MISERABLE service. The WORST!!

I was with iiNet for a year. The Internet they provided was patchy and dropped out regularly. Setting up with them was a nightmare - they took several weeks to even send me the modem, and then it was the wrong kind. Talking with them on the phone is torture - they refuse to do anything to help resolve issues that they've created.

My breaking point was when I tried to move house with them. They didn't keep setup appointments, wasted tons of my time, kept me on hold forever with customer service - and I still don't have Internet!

Just do yourself a favour and never, ever, ever try and deal with this company! So many wasted hours of my life I will never get back, just trying to get Internet...

Pros: Good internet WHEN working

Cons: Tech support, Fake advertising, poor service and communication.

Comments: NBN FTTN Internet.

Connection phase was horrible wasted 2 weeks of my life I'll never get back. Call Centre said Techie was coming to house to install line, but he never came. Some unspecified reason but for some reason I was not informed. So lost a day without pay for this. Call centre person was able to schedule an apptmt next week and I DON'T NEED TO BE THERE. SO WHY SAY I DID NEED TO BE THERE!!!!!

Tech Support was helpful in helping me setup modem.

Internet works for 4 Months, then a blackout cuts power but the modem won't work.

Call tech support hes helpful run tests etc. modem not working. Says he will send new one fine thanks.

4 Business days later no modem. check toolbox, a Supervisor had CANCELED NEW MODEM- not enough troubleshooting!!!
Waited 4 Bus days for nothing!!
Call Tech Support. "Sorry Supervisor canceled new Modem"
Resubmitted but nothing yet!!

7 days without NBN and Phone! DO NOT sign with IINET/TPG. I'd wager Telstra NBN would be better!!

Pros: Amazing staff that cater to your needs

Cons: Still growing and learning

Comments: Unlike other telco's these guys allowed me to use my own router/voip on their network. Although I am technically minded and needed little assistance to get the whole thing operation, they were more than ready to help in any way.
My unit is a FRITZ!Box 7490.

Pros: none, worst ever

Cons: worst customer service worst speed not reliable at all

Comments: MOST TIME WASTING COMPANY EVER!!!!!!
Absolutely pain to deal with, very rude customer service!! You will spend hours on the phone just to solve one small problem they will transfer you back and forth totally a joke! I quit with them because they didn't lodge my application properly and charge extra to reconnect the service! Internet speed is slow ADSL2+ at 4-5mbps compare to other company's similar level of plan my neighbor(units are similar designed too) has at 13mbps. What a rip off!! Now I got to get my two month of usage fee back from them because their mistake to charge me while I have been overseas. DON NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM OR YOU WILL REGRET 100%,PLENTY OTHER BETTE COMPANIES OUT THERE.

Pros: Quirky marketing ads

Cons: Everything else about this terrible service

Comments: Literally unusable, cuts out every hour or so and when it is up its unbearably slow, I’d be lucky if a webpage opens within 10mins, I’ve missed submitting a few assessments and important emails just waiting for to go through and often times i have to run down to the nearest cyber cafe just to do so, when i call them up, all they do is offer me a more expensive deal for what I’m guessing its the same trash witj a fancier name to it without actually answering my answer. Actually I’m the idiot here, why am I paying for a service I cannot use? I suppose funding the support crew to buy themselves some how to dummys guidebook to customer service could be considered charitable work?

Pros: They provide consumers what bad looks like

Cons: No internet speed, drop outs over 100 times a month

Comments: The worst, worst, worst internet speeds, service you can imagine. After 6 months of battling, iinet doing nothing proactively to help us, us spending in excess of $250 in private technician fees at iinets request to find iinet has a faulty line connected to our house, they totally deny our claim for compensation.

If you want dial up speeds, uncompassionate, unfair customer service then iinet have made a business out of it. Literally, over 100 service drop outs each month, speeds of 1mb at best when connected over 6 months and they do nothing but laugh at you.

Never choose iinet. They don't care at all about their customers

Pros: Great customer service.

Cons: None.

Comments: Great customer service and a very reliable NBN connection. The best telco I have been with - and I have tried about 10 over the last 20 years. Support is also excellent and you get to speak with someone located in Australia. Highly recommended and I don't say that lightly!
