Pros: none

Cons: - It took one month to get connected but a few minutes to get disconnected. - Got disconnected early (before due date)- does not care about their fault. - Poor customer service - will lie to you to get you off the line. - Expensive

Comments: I have been a bigpond ADSL subscriber for about a year. Firstly it took about a month to get connected - which was painful but we got our service at the end, customer service kept on making excuses.

Then after getting a job overseas I had to exit the ADSL contract and after paying the outrageous early exit fees and stating to them to disconnect the service after one week (as I will still be at my residence for another week), Bigpond disconnected me straight away. I was right in the middle of sending an important business email - the sudden disconnection was almost traumatic as I had to send the important business document straight away.

I called the bigpond customer service stright away and told them about the situation - they admitted fault but was un-willing to correct the situation, the customer service attitude was basically "yes it's our fault, but too bad". They said they would have a manager call me about it, after waiting one day no one called, called them again and again customer service reps said a manager will call me back and that the situation has been escalated. 2 days later no one called - I have been abandoned - it was all lies.

Extremely unhelpful customer service reps.

I will never use Telstra or Bigpond ever again.

Pros: It\'s not dialup....

Cons: Tech support is atrocious

Comments: Took them 12 months to advise me that ADSL was not ever going to be available to me due to a split line. 4 months to install cable after that. Frequently down speeds are no more than up to twice that of dial up. Tech support phone queues are consistently over 20mins wait time. Tech support staff are poorly trained and often give flat out WRONG advice.... one of them even asked me to reformat my harddrive to get better speeds...........................

Overall I'm very dissatisfied with Telstra and if there was another ISP that could bundle my business telephony needs, that was available in my area (underground cabling is not my friend) then I would change in a heartbeat!

Pros: Very Fast

Cons: Can be expensive

Comments: Very happy with Bigpond Cable. Kicks ass on ADSL!

Service has been fairly good and I didn't have any problems with the initial setup. Reliability has been great.

All in all Highly recommended!

Pros: In theory a reliable conncetion, not in practice.....

Cons: The lovely hold music that instructs you to visit the website, which would be nice if my connection worked!

Comments: A pricey plan and the speed is capped, can download a lot before your speed is reduced even further.
