What real customers say about Aussie Broadband

Customers consistently praise the reliable and fast internet connection, with many reporting speeds meeting or exceeding advertised rates. The Australian-based customer support team is frequently highlighted for being knowledgeable, helpful, and quick to resolve issues, often going above and beyond. Reviewers also appreciate the proactive communication regarding outages and the smooth process for moving house or upgrading plans.

While overall satisfaction is high, several reviewers mentioned that Aussie Broadband's plans are more expensive compared to competitors, with some noting recent price increases. A few customers experienced occasional, brief network dropouts or buffering during peak times. One reviewer also reported long wait times for customer support calls and unreliable callback services.

Followup review of Aussie Broadband

Staff are very experienced and I have upgraded my modem since the last review, with no issues. This has a premium price, but is well worth the money.

I do get a lot of emails from people impersonating AussieBB, but I just put email filters in place to auto delete them.

The company is now at the front of the pack. It is now a back bone to our internet, seems some providers are using it as a wholesale provision, which is a testament to their reliability. That's why I have stuck with them although having been offered cheaper services.

+ Amazing staff that cater to your needs

– Still growing and learning

Unlike other telco's these guys allowed me to use my own router/voip on their network. Although I am technically minded and needed little assistance to get the whole thing operation, they were more than ready to help in any way.
My unit is a FRITZ!Box 7490.

Followup review of Aussie Broadband

Taking responsibility when things go wrong. Not casting blame on NBN. Helpful collaboration between the two.

My Bigpond email receives messages over the Aussiebb Internet, but try sending on the same channels responding to emails received, just cannot send replies and problems emerge, understood by Aussiebb tech, but he wouldnt/couldnt offer a solution. The relevant account parameters IMAP and SMTP need careful option selection within each. I never mastered this skill, and he was wary of this impasse.

Most queries resolved quickly. Auto shift from one expiring plan into the next regime of plans, with option to override and choose a different plan.

+ Easy to understand the admin and tech dialogue

– Lack of co-operation by Telstra caused the only headache by quarantining our landline number delaying porting our landline number

Justify !!! Telstra Dialup and Bigpond for 30 years - 30 years too long.
Aussie BB means service, technical performance and intelligibilty right at the top of the scale.

As a Skymesh user, I was unimpressed to discover I had been sold to another company, who then proceeded to start our new relationship by making the Internet unavailable for several days. Followup review of Aussie Broadband

Nothing has changed

Prices have slowly crept up but so have the costs with other providers AussieBB is more than comparable with them all.

Nothing much has changed on our home NBN service but on the Community Radio station I volunteer at we recently had to re-locate the transmitter site and going for a FTTN service at the new location was going to cost a lot to get a cable into the site. Like about $8,000 to ditch a miserable 2 pair cable into the site.
As we only need Data we looked at various data plans from other 4G Data providers and Aussie came out as being the most economical so a SIM for that service came from AussieBB and has been rock solid steady since installation.

+ Brilliant Call Centre access

– VOIP features somewhat lacking

A No Frills company who DO deliver what they promise most of the time.Outages are to be expected but at least AussieBB let you know unlike other ISP's who either dont know or simply will not say they have problems.
For what we get pricing is good and suits our need very well.
Technical support is also very good and they DO go that extra bit to sort things out promptly when there are issues such as experienced at cutover from ADSL.
Since going to Aussie BB I have recommended others to make the same move and 2 have done so.

Still great user support.

More expensive, too many increases

Recent issues with connection reliabilty, Aussie engaged NBN and they resolved a connection issue in the cable pit in the nature strip. Aussie followed up post-repair to see if all was ok.

Good overall

+ Great user support

– Wish it was about 10 less per month

From the first contact with Aussie it took them 90 minutes to completely resolve our broadband issues that TPG hadn't been able to fix in 3 weeks. Single person point-of-contact to help with any issue - you don't get requeued to another group or team. Australian based, and you speak to someone, not a chat screen.
