What real customers say about Aussie Broadband

Customers consistently praise the Australian-based support team, highlighting their attentiveness, knowledge, and quick issue resolution. Many reviewers noted the reliability and consistent speed of their connection, often exceeding advertised rates, even during peak times. The ease of upgrading services and the proactive communication about outages were also frequently mentioned as positive aspects of their experience.

However, several reviewers expressed concern over increasing prices for the same service or noted that the plans are generally more expensive than competitors. While connection reliability was often praised, a few customers reported occasional buffering or instability during peak weekend or evening hours. Few other complaints stand out from the recent reviews.

Incredible, Personal and Supportive

+ Very quick churn from existing carrier. high level of clear communication. incredible app

– none to mention Possibly slightly higher prices but I would pay this any day for the quality and support

Onboarding was a simple and welcoming process with Aussie. They treat you as an individual and depending on your technical knowledge are willing to have a conversation at that level. The churcn was 15mins to changeover and the app is a life saver. I am yet to see another ISP provide such a fantastic all in one app - providing so many levels of access and administration.

Reliable Service You get what you pay for

+ Consistent, high speed internet. Top of the line customer support. Littletono dropouts.

– High price compared to competitors. Limited budgetfriendly options.

The connection is consistently fast, with minimal downtime, which is crucial for both my work-from-home needs and streaming entertainment. On the rare occasions when I've needed assistance, their team has been knowledgeable, courteous, and quick to resolve issues

However, it's important to note that this premium service comes at a premium price. The monthly fees are noticeably higher than some other providers in the area. While I believe you get what you pay for in terms of reliability and speed, it may not be the most budget-friendly option for everyone.

Reliable Connection, no issues

+ Reliable Connection, never had to use Technical Support.

– No negatives only negatives are NBN speeds out of ABBs control

As mentioned, customer for almost 2 years. Only downtime has been scheduled over night and notified in advance. No speed dropouts, CVC always within threshold.

Speeds are restricted by Gov't NBN.

Followup review of Aussie Broadband

Their technical support is experienced, and their customer service is exceptionally professional. They also excel at communication, sending realtime updates about outages or maintenance through email, text, and their dedicated app.

While their prices remain higher than many other ISPs, the premium may be justified by the quality of service. Having local, highly skilled support staff offers a significant advantage over overseas call centers. However, like all ISPs, they are ultimately at the mercy of the NBN infrastructure. If an NBN technician causes an outage on your street, the ISPs hands are tied all they can do is lodge a ticket and a complaint. There is still a frustrating lack of visibility and accountability when NBN contractors cause these issues, leaving the ISP powerless to fix it directly

Aussie Broadband has earned a strong reputation for delivering fast, reliable internet backed by experienced technical support and highly professional customer service. One of their standout features is their proactive communication; they do an excellent job of keeping users informed by sending real-time network updates and outage alerts via email, text message, and their dedicated app.

However, despite their premium service, two key weaknesses remain: the premium cost and their lack of control over the underlying infrastructure. Like all providers, Aussie Broadband is ultimately at the mercy of NBN Co. If an NBN technician or contractor accidentally causes a street-level outage during local maintenance, Aussie Broadband is effectively powerless to intervene directly. In these scenarios, their hands are tied; all they can do is lodge a support ticket and a complaint on your behalf. There is still a frustrating lack of systemic visibility and accountability when NBN field staff cause these disruptions, meaning even the best ISP cannot speed up a physical infrastructure fix.

Apart from these unavoidable NBN limitations and the higher price point, Aussie Broadband remains an outstanding, high-quality service that is easily one of the best choices on the market.

Great Customer Service, Great Technical Skills, Below Average Cost.

+ Customer Service, Technical Support

– Costs

Aussie Broadband is well-regarded for its exceptional customer service, which is consistently rated above industry standards. The company priorities keeping its employees onshore, which not only creates local job opportunities but also enhances communication and understanding for its customers.

In addition to their commendable service, Aussie Broadband ensures stable internet connections and proactively informs customers about any outages or changes in service. This level of transparency is a significant advantage for users who rely on consistent connectivity.

In my experience with TPG and other ISPs, I have encountered subpar technical support and customer service. Often, I found myself being transferred between various departments without resolution, which was frustrating. While these providers may offer lower prices, the quality of service was lacking compared to what Aussie Broadband provides.

I choose to remain with Aussie Broadband primarily for their reliability and outstanding customer service, despite the higher costs associated with their plans. Competitors like Tangerine, Superloop, and Dodo may present more attractive pricing starting from $65 for the first six months, but they cannot assure the same level of service and expertise that I have come to expect from Aussie Broadband.

Support, service, and delivery

+ Excellent support team, great app for selfservice information, responsive on social media, proactive network development

– Outages are not common, but they do happen. However, most of the time were told beforehand, and issues are resolved quickly.

Simply put - they provide an excellent service, not necessarily the cheapest on the market, but their support and network infrastructure commitments mean they're worth every cent. Upgrading to FTTP from FTTN was incredibly smooth (from the parts they could control), and they even let me know before NBNCO that I was eligible for the upgrade. Their community support for charitable & sporting organisations is wonderful to see too.

On shore Australian call centre is a god send

Australian, local support, good for rural customers.

Premium cost, No loyalty bonuses for existing customers.

Support has always been great from the on-shore helpdesk. Good understanding of fixed wireless technology which is what is used by most country and rural customers (other than Starlink). Pricing could be sharper compared to other RSP's (starting wtih "L"). Better bundle pricing for mobile would be welcome.

Happy with Aussie Broadband

+ Nighttime speeds are as promised. Quick, no fuss connection.

– Occasional connection dropouts late at night.

It was easy to arrange our connection and it was setup quickly. Connection speed at night time is as promised (100GB) and is mostly reliable. We have experienced occasional connection dropouts late at night - these are normally for only a minute or two. I have not yet had to use Technical Support.
