What real customers say about TPG

Customers frequently praise TPG for its reliable connection and consistent speeds, particularly for streaming and work. Several reviewers highlighted good customer service, describing staff as helpful and prompt, especially when resolving issues. The ease of setup for various plans, including NBN and Home Wireless Broadband, was also a recurring positive, with many finding the pricing competitive and offering good value.

However, price increases were a common complaint, with some reviewers noting higher monthly charges for the same service over time. Connection dropouts and slowdowns, particularly during peak hours or with 5G broadband, were also mentioned by multiple customers. Some found technical support to be offshore and unhelpful, while others experienced long wait times and difficulties resolving billing issues.

Reliable, good customer service, but overpriced

Reliable connection, good customer service

Charge way too much

Every time I've called them, they've been helpful. Rare to have an outage. However, $80pm is highway robbery, especially since they are charging $20 more per month for a service than 5 years ago when it's the same service.

Average connection, average price

Prompt response

The pricing goes up annually, with connection that goes unstable every now and then

TPG has provided average service. Their service is prompt, but lately the price creeps up, and internet connection is slowing down.

Fairly good, well priced, geography dependent

Well priced, easy setup

Inadequate technical support

5G broadband so speed and reliability depends on proximity to 5g tower. My connection is so-so, some drop outs and difficulty connecting to 5g. Technical support obviously off-shore, reads off script and does not understand product. Reasonably priced

a good value option that delivers what it promises.

Reliable and affordable. Great value for money

Sometimes theres some minor slowdowns.

I’ve been using a TPG NBN plan f7 months now and overall the experience has been positive. The connection is generally reliable with consistent speeds that suit both work and streaming. Setup was pretty straightforward, and the pricing is competitive compared to other providers. On occasion, there have been minor slowdowns during peak hours, but they don’t last long and don’t disrupt everyday use. Customer support has been helpful when I’ve needed assistance, and response times were reasonable. Overall, I feel it’s a good value option that delivers what it promises. And the TPG app is great!

Good technical support at a price

Reliable, decent support

Not the cheapest, can be tedious to get through to a human

When I first signed up with TPG, technical support was horrid, but it has improved a lot since then. The connection is stable, we get decent speeds (~ 850-950/90 most evenings), and we have had one or two outages in the past twelve months that lasted less than an hour each. TPG may not be the cheapest, but they are better than their reputation.

I like TPG.

Simple. Service. Speed. Secure.

5G broadband reliability issues before switching back to NBN.

TPG has me covered and keeps me well in the web loop as technology evolves and plans change. Although I was unhappy with the coverage of 5G in this area soon after moving here, it was resolved by this company, and well, years ago when I changed back to NBN. I see no good reason to look for another internet supplier.

Been great all the way so far

Simple straightforward

User interface a bit outdated and clunky pricing could be a hair better

Only have had to call them out a few times to check the physical cable manually otherwise very good uptime and solid performance with the many years we have been with TPG.

Happy with everything they have provided so far just wish the online portal was a bit better but it has everything you need really.

The online support could be a tiny bit faster and more streamlined to make it better but overall they did their very best as humanly as possible.

Reliable connection

reliable connection

not the cheapest in term of price, support service quality depends on who you are talking to

reliable connection - I have been with TPG for more than 10 years... very little connection issue. Plug and play for the next 10 years literally. Value for money - not the cheapest on the market. Customer service - I had billing issue once..took a long long time to resolve and I had to make multiple long calls - not much progress until I talked with a lady who really took ownership of my issue. She talked with various people including the development team to get my issue resolved. Technical support - ok, I rarely call them due to their reliable connection..but I had multiple exchange in the past (e.g. 10 years ago) as the initial setup was a bit challenging - it was a newly built home.
