Starlink is awesome as long as you dont need customer support.
The fastest internet you can get without a fixed connection
Customer support is nearly non existent and they fail on some surprising basics
After using 4G for a while and dealing with it's terrible reliability and ping, I had the chance to sign up for Starlink with an offer for $20 off the then price of a 100Mb/s plan of $70. Sign up was pretty easy and straightforward, but once that was done, the wait began. There was no update on when the dish would be shipped for two weeks, exceeding the expected delivery date. I then tried to contact customer service, which is done by Grok. Although it could not give me a delivery date it did give a generous account credit for the wait, the dish showed up a week later. Setup was relatively easy and even though the only location that I could mount the dish was somewhat blocked by trees, it has managed to work around it and so I get good performance, at least 100mb/s down 24/7 (even in heavy rain), no ping issues or drops during gaming. And although the upload speed can only maintain 40Mb/s for off peak times, during peak it's still around 15Mb/s at the bare minimum, which is fast enough for what I need. The main issue I've really encountered is how amateur they seem to be when it comes to billing and customer service. For example, you can preview your next bill, and when I did so a few months in, I noticed that the discount that should have been applied to our bill had not been added to the upcoming bill. So not wanting to be falsely charged this extra amount I used their Grok powered customer support again, only to realize that we never received an email or a product disclosure statement which included our discount, so I had to try and convince Grok that we had signed up for a discount before it would take a look and fix our bill. Which is very hard to do when the the only documentation of a now finished deal that they had run was the old version of their webpage. But I am happy to say that they have now updated their website so it will now list any discounts you are getting on the billing page, so hopefully this issue is a thing of the past.
At the end of the day I would still recommend it. The performance is very good and if it and 4G/5G are your only options, go Starlink. You get more consistent performance and something pretty much no mobile network has, unlimited data.

Still working well, no drop outs. Soo much more reliable Than Telstra.

As a remote township we rely on Starlink now as Telstra has abandoned rural QLD coverage. We regularly only have Starlink wifi calls due to Telstra not maintaining the coverage they promote. At times for days Strarlink is our only communication with the outside world. Bring on Starlink phone services ASAP

Purchased online, delivery was quicker than informed. So easy to set up. its been on the roof for 12 months now and we will never go back to Telstra ever. Starlink has broken the old way of getting internet and calls for regional Aussies

The Only One that work where i live

I've been very impressed with Starlink. Living in a rural area where internet options have always been limited, it has made a huge difference. The connection is fast, reliable, and easily handles streaming, video calls, and multiple devices at the same time.
The main downside is the higher upfront equipment cost and monthly fee compared with some traditional providers. During very severe storms, I've also noticed brief interruptions, although the service usually restores quickly. As I live in Darwin NT.

Easy set up and top speed
No need to interact, fast internet and no problems
price high but this is only service that is available at this acceptable standard rurally
Internet fast and set up is very simple. Ready to go and self installed 10 minutes after delivery. Nothing can compete in rural areas with this service.
